Custom Electric Dog Fence Design & Installation
Each out of sight fencing system is designed around the specific layout of your property. Boundary lines are planned to define where your dog can and cannot go, allowing for full-yard use while restricting access to specific areas.Driveways, pools, and other hazardous areas
Common containment configurations include:
Driveways, roads, and high-traffic areas
Pools, ponds, and other water features
Landscaping such as flower beds, gardens, and shrubs
Designated zones for wildlife, livestock, or protected areas
Every system uses a buried boundary wire to create a consistent signal field, helping your dog understand and respond to the defined perimeter.

Customizable Boundaries to Fit any Yard
Guaranteeing Pet Containment With Professional Training
At Dog Guard of Ohio, we've developed a proven training program to help pet owners introduce their dogs to our electric pet fence system. Our system utilizes audio signals and mild correction stimuli to establish a secure boundary for your pet.
During the first three to four days after installation, we recommend that dog owners dedicate ten to fifteen minutes, twice daily, to walking their dogs on a leash around the perimeter where the underground boundary is set and their boundary flags are placed. If your dog attempts to cross the boundary, give them enough leash to take their mild static correction and firmly say "No!" or “Back!” and gently guide them back, then reward them for staying within bounds with praise and pets.
Following this training regimen consistently will help your dog quickly learn the boundary. Once they're familiar, you can start removing the flags after about three weeks, and your dog will understand the limits without visual cues.
Once activated, entering the reminder zone (3 to 6 feet from the signal wire) triggers either an audio signal or a gentle correction, alerting your pet that they're approaching the boundary.
To ensure the training process is successful and boundaries are clear, our experienced pet behavior specialists will collaborate closely with you and your pet. Our goal is to ensure your pet understands the boundaries and adheres to them, keeping them safe and secure on your property.
FAQs
How is an out of sight dog fence designed for my property?
